Services -> Localization
Localization is the process of adapting your product (e.g. website, help files, or software) to a specific locale.
Translation is only one phase of the localization process. It also involves:
- Developing glossaries & style guidelines
- Editing locale-specific information
- Reformatting text in graphics
- Adjusting HTML code & scripts (websites)
- Engineering (software)
- Linguistic and functional testing
- Ongoing Quality Control
Localization is typically preceded by an internationalization process which consists of designing or redesigning a product to make it as culturally and technically neutral as possible, so it can be localized with minimal effort.
